So, you’ve downloaded fuse™ and you’ve signed up to be a Fuser – what happens next?

The good news is, being a fuser doesn’t have to be a stressful or a frustrating process. There are things you can do to help your friends find love and make sure you get the best experience out of fuse™.

To make sure you’re the best Cupid there’s ever been, we’ve put together this short guide to help you get started and make sure you get the best Sparks for your team captain.

Get started!

This may sound painfully obvious, but the first step is starting – trying fuse™ out, getting comfortable with it, and having fun with the other fuser on your team.

As a fuser, you can send your team captain on the best dates they’ve ever had (and we all know that it only takes one date to find true love) but to do that, you have to start.

Don’t hold back, keep the conversation going with your team captain, but most of all – get started with matchmaking.

And remember, our handy FAQ is always nearby if there’s anything you’re not sure of.

Be tactful

So, you’ve found someone on fuse™ that you just know is a great match for your team captain – but they’re not making the move to open conversation, and that perfect match is getting less and less single with each passing day.

If you feel like your TC isn’t picking up the great Sparks you’re putting down, it could be time to give them a gentle nudge.

Remember: you want to be honest with your team captain, but you don’t want to knock their confidence! So, be patient, tactful and take a positive approach.

The key is not embarrassing your team captain or making them feel awkward – a friendly message to them along the lines of, “I know you have a lot going on but I found a great person for you – check them out and maybe chat with them for a bit?” should be all you need to get things rolling again.

Know what your team captain wants from their life

This is a BIG one.

Make sure that your team captain has compatible life goals with the people you’re matching them with. Not sure what your team captain’s life goals are? Have a conversation before you get started and make sure you know where they stand on certain issues.

This will make your life easier, and make sure they only get the best and brightest Sparks from you.

Take a little risk

You’ve heard the old saying ‘opposites attract’.

While we don’t know if that’s exactly true, we do know that some of the best matches are with people you don’t expect.

If you see someone that seems really cool, but not exactly someone your team captain would usually go for, consider telling your TC about them anyway. Explain why you think they’re great – even if they’re a little outside your brief.

The important thing is that you’re always communicating, and not surprising your team captain with people who they think they could never have a strong and genuine relationship with.
